Tim Oliver Executive Director
Tim Oliver has developed and presented leadership and management education programs for participants from over 30 nations. His areas of expertise include leadership, organizational development and strategic planning.
He is currently a Principal of The Greenridge Group, Inc., a California construction management and consulting firm. Previously Tim was Vice President at Pierce College; President of Management Specialists, Inc.; Corporate Administration Manager at Kubota Tractor Corporation; and Corporate Secretary at Yamaha Musical Products, Inc., where he managed development of the first major U.S.-based Japanese manufacturing plant.
The United States Congress, the State of California Senate, the State of California Assembly, the County of Los Angeles, and the City of Los Angeles have recognized Tim for his contributions to higher education and the community.
He earned a MBA degree from California State University; a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California (USC); and, professional certificates in Industrial Relations and Organizational Behavior (UCLA), Mediation (Center for Dispute Resolution), and Anger Management (Anderson & Anderson). He is a California licensed Real Estate Broker. |

Woodrow W. Clark II, MA3, PhD Global Advisor
Dr. Clark, a long-time advocate for the environment and renewable energy, is an internationally recognized author, lecturer, public speaker and advisor specializing in sustainable communities. Dr. Clark was one of the contributing scientists to the work of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UNIPCC) which as an organization was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in December 2007. His contribution was for work as the co-writer on Chapter 2 on Finance and Economics and the co-editor for Chapter 3 on Legal and Contracts.
In 2004, he founded, and now manages, Clark Strategic Partners (CSP), an environmental and renewable energy consulting firm using his political-economic expertise in order to guide, advice and implement public and private clients worldwide – specifically on sustainable smart green communities of all kinds ranging from colleges and universities to shopping malls, office buildings and film studios. Dr. Clarks’ five books and 50+ peer-reviewed articles reflect that concern for global sustainable communities. Clark teaches graduate courses in these areas in the USA and internationally as a Visiting Professor.
Prior to launching CSP, Dr. Clark was Senior Advisor on Renewable Energy, Emerging Technologies, and Finance to California Governor Gray Davis from 2000-2003. Before that from 1999-2000, he was a Visiting Professor of Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship at Aalborg University, Denmark, where he was a Fulbright Fellow in 1994. Dr. Clark was the Manager of Strategic Planning for Technology Transfer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) for the University of California and U.S. Department of Energy, during the 1990s. In 1980, Dr. Clark founded a mass media company in San Francisco, CA, Clark Communications, specializing in the production and distribution of documentary and educational films focused on “social issues” such as “sexual harassment”, “health issues” and older workers (baby boomers) along with other topics including books from dramatic current events.
Recently Dr. Clark has been giving talks related to his applied academic work on climate change and sustainable communities for the US State Department including Africa, China and the EU. His next book is Global Energy Innovations about a “green” third industrial revolution (G3IR) from Praeger Press (November 2011). Dr. Clark earned three masters’ degrees from different universities in Illinois and his Ph.D. at University of California, Berkeley. He lives with his wife Andrea, and their 4 year-old son, Paxton, in Southern California.

Professor Dato' Dr. Ansary Ahmed, PhD Global Advisor
Professor Dato’ Dr. Ansary Ahmed graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Liverpool in 1979. He obtained his PhD in Molecular Biology in 1983 from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. He first started his academic career as a tutor for the Department of Genetics and Cellular Biology in University of Malaya (UM), and he received his full Professorship in 1998. In UM amongst others he served as Head of Department of Genetics, Deputy Dean Faculty of Science and the Founding Dean for Institute of Postgraduate Studies.
Professor Dato’ Dr. Ansary was the Project Leader, Senior Vice President and cofounder of Open University of Malaysia. The University now boasts an enrollment of over 80,000 students.
At the national level, he has been actively involved as Steering committee member of National Bio-technology Group, as Special Science Officer at Malaysian Industry Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) the Science Advisor Office, Prime Minister’s Department. He also served as member of Task Force National Technology at Mapping Project, National Innovation System and Headed the Pharmaceutical Secretariat at MIGHT. Prof. Dato’ Ansary has served as Chairman and member of several national level task forces and committees in Higher Education for Internationalisation, Life Long Learning and is presently National Chairman for e Learning.
Professor Dato’ Dr. Ansary is also active internationally as a member of UNESCO Kornberg 21st Century Visionaries for Higher Education and currently serves as UNESCO Technical Consultant to Libya for the ICT transformation of Libyan Universities. He is also very actively involved in scientific and technical consultancies. He is often invited as speaker at both local and international levels including Education Leaders Forum, Paris. He has represented Malaysia as a member of Board of trustees Asean University Network for several years. He was Project Director for Total e learning solution Ministry of Higher Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and most recently been appointed Honorary Advisor for Asia by the Commonwealth of Learning.
Professor Dato’ Dr. Ansary is the Founding President/CEO of the Asia e University which is a collaborative effort of 31 Asian countries under the Asian Cooperative Dialogue. He has published more than 120 articles in International and local Journals in Microbiology, Molecular genetics, leadership and management in Higher Education. He was awarded by Enterprise Asia the Most Promising Entrepreneur in recognition of Asia e University’s great success as start up.
In recognition of his contributions both nationally and internationally, he was conferred in 2005 the Darjah Johan (Champion of the State) Negeri Pulau Pinang, and in 2007 the Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak, by the HE Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan which carries the title Dato’. |
